Who is responsible
IQ Test Suite is run by Guilherme Mottin, Calgary, Canada, who decides how your data is used (the data controller). Contact: contato@iqtestsuite.com.
What we ask before a test
Before a test we ask for your first name, your email, how many people live in your household, your political leaning and your gender. The last three questions always offer “prefer not to say”. You fill in the form once; your browser remembers it for the next tests.
What is sent when you finish
When you finish a test, your result (scores, not each individual answer) is sent to our server with the details above so we can email you a detailed copy. Your answers to the individual questions stay in your browser.
Why we use your data
We use your name, email and results to send you your result, which you request by filling in the form, and to keep a record of the tests you took. If you tick the box for news, we also email you about new tests; you can stop this at any time.
Research and statistics
Only if you tick the research box do we keep your answers about household, political leaning and gender, together with your results, in a separate research database without your name or email. This anonymised data is used for statistics and may be shared with or licensed to research institutes and partners. Political opinion is sensitive data under Brazil’s LGPD and Europe’s GDPR, so we rely on your specific consent, which you can withdraw at any time. If you do not tick the box, we do not store those three answers. We never sell your name or email.
Who receives your data
Hostinger, which hosts the site, the database and the email service, processes data on our behalf. Research partners only receive anonymised data that does not identify you.
How long we keep it
Your name, email and results are kept until you ask us to delete them, or for at most three years after your last test. Anonymised research data no longer identifies you and may be kept longer.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data and withdraw any consent by writing to contato@iqtestsuite.com, or by replying to any email we sent you. You can also complain to your data protection authority, such as the ANPD in Brazil.
Saved on your device
Unfinished tests, your last results, the details you entered in the form, your theme and, if you choose one from the menu, your language (a cookie named lang, kept for one year) are stored in your browser. You can delete them at any time in your browser settings.
Hosting
The site is hosted by Hostinger, which processes technical request data such as IP addresses to deliver the pages and protect them from abuse.
Age
The tests are meant for people aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children; if you believe a child sent us data, write to us and we will delete it.
